Anikka's Iced Chocolate

Cocoa linen. Right away we knew it was the right color.

Maybe you've had the experience: something is yours the minute you find it.

Cocoa linen? It's that color of cocoa and sugar mixed together to make iced chocolate. Rich, refreshing, and not too sweet. We share our recipe for this favorite with you.

Anikka's Iced Chocolate

Ingredients (makes 2 tall glasses)

  • 4 Tbsp cocoa
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 4-6 Tbsp milk at room temperature

Place small amount of water in the bottom of double boiler and heat. In the top of the double boiler combine cocoa, sugar, and salt.  Add the 2 cups boiling water to this mixture and place top over bottom of double boiler. Stir mixture and boil gently for two minutes. Add milk according to taste, one tablespoon at a time, stirring after each addition. Cover and cook gently for 10 minutes. Cool, chill, and serve in tall glasses over crushed ice.
