Happy New Year! We're back from New York, having found some fantastic fabric and trims. Stay tuned--we'll have a lot to show you. But until the spring designs are ready, here's a taste of a favorite beverage from a favorite lunch spot.
As much as we love the Garment District, sometimes the hectic pace sends us searching for a quiet lunch. When there's time, we head a few blocks east to the cafe at Scandinavia House at 58 Park Avenue. Its traditional Nordic menu includes a number of fruit drinks, which you can order still or sparkling. When we ask, the friendly staff mix two of the selections to create our favorite, a Raspberry-Lingonberry Fizz. So with a nod to Scandinavia House, we mixed up our own to share with you.
Anikka's Favorite Raspberry-Lingonberry Fizz
One tall, chilled glass
2 TBSP raspberry syrup
2 TBSP lingonberry syrup
Cold seltzer to fill the glass
Slice of lime
Fill glass 1/4 with crushed ice. Add both fruit syrups. Fill with seltzer. Stir vigorously. Garnish with slice of lime. Enjoy.
